Call for Presentations: Iowa Board of Certification Seeks Expert Contributions on Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment for upcoming C.A.R.E. Conference 2025
Iowa Board of Certification is pleased to announce a Call for Presentations for the upcoming C.A.R.E. Conference 2025, scheduled to take place on September 24-25, 2025, in West Des Moines, Iowa. This premier event focuses on:

Reducing Stress & Promoting Self-Care
Exploring Best Practices
The conference aims to provide a platform for sharing innovative strategies, best practices, and emerging research on substance use disorders and their impact on individuals, families, and communities. We invite experts from diverse disciplines to submit proposals for engaging presentations, workshops, and panel discussions.
Presentation Topics May Include:
- Evidence-based prevention and intervention strategies
- Advances in treatment and recovery support
- Addressing co-occurring disorders
- The role of technology in substance abuse treatment
- Policy and advocacy efforts
- Community-based approaches and harm reduction
- Special populations: youth, veterans, and underserved communities
Submission Guidelines:
Proposals should include a title, abstract (250 words max), learning objectives, presenter bio(s), and preferred presentation format. Submissions must be received by April 15, 2025.
Selected presenters will have the opportunity to share their expertise with a diverse audience and contribute to meaningful discussions shaping the future of substance abuse prevention and treatment.
